A Philosophy of ‘Here for a good time, not a long time’ runs through the youth of our generation who fly about in night clubs, hitting drugs, drinking and doing whatever they fancy in an attempt to try, ‘do everything possible’ they can in life.
Now, looking at it straight on, there’s two ways of viewing it with one side being that it’s stupid and that life should be cherished more. Including more love and compassion for one another for a hope for a bright future.
On the other hand, there is the idea that we have became more aware of our surroundings in the essence that life is short and in some way, meaningless. It’s about enjoying what we can, while we can and simply do the best we can to enjoy ourselves.
I understand that it can be portrayed as a bad way to live life with the concept stirring all kinds of arguments that we should be more caring and respectful which I think can go along side enjoying ourselves. We’ve reached a generation that can effectively change everything. It’s a generation that’s obsessed with unnecessary ‘things’ rather than conservation or society itself. Obsessed with the wrong things that are actually making me doubt this post. However, I do believe at the root of this is a concept that makes sense.
To enjoy ourselves while we can, as well as having respect. Perhaps that’s the latest philosophy that we will look back on and realise it’s how we’ve moved onto the next generation.
